How to get a bikini body this Summer (Hint: it's not how you think!) January 26 2015, 0 Comments

Today on the blog is a very special guest post by Melissa Jeffcott - a life coach, mother of three and a beautiful soul! I met Mel at the Gabby Bernstein event in Melbourne a few weeks ago and was instantly drawn to her energy. I went home and checked out Mel's blog and was having a good old giggle at her honesty, authenticity and awesome sense of humour. Given it's still January and we are on the topics of resolutions, goals and intention for 2015 I thought this post would be perfect to share! In the media and in real life, women perhaps more than ever face the pressure of striving to achieve that perfect bikini body for Summer. Body image is such an important topic and Mel hits the nail on the head with her post. This is a read not just for mothers and those over 40. Mel's message is an important one for ALL women. I couldn't have conveyed the message better myself if I tried! To read the full blog post click here.

Goals with Soul (Part 3 in the series) January 19 2015, 0 Comments

It's mid January. The New Year. 2015. Predicted by some to be a very prosperous, abundant year where the hard work of previous years comes into fruition. In part three of this blog series I want to introduce you to an incredible ideology that will underpin your goal setting and resolutions for the year. It flips the idea of goal setting and resolutions on its head. It's real. Raw. It's a humanised way of looking at intention setting in a different light. It makes so much sense. I believe it also sheds a whole lotta light on why 92% of us don't achieve our New Year's resolutions. So who is the creator? To read the full blog post click here.

Do you suck at sticking to New Year's resolutions? (Part 2) January 06 2015, 2 Comments

I'm sitting here wearing next to nothing as it's so so hot in Melbourne today. I'm in flow so I'm going to keep writing in what will become a three part blog series. Given 2015 is now in full swing I got to thinking while blogging about resolutions what are some of my goals, intentions and resolutions for this new year? I better heed my own advice and make them obvious and known (remember it helps with accountability). I also started to think more about how meaningful my goals are and how passionate I am about making them more than just resolutions, but part of my life. My theory is the more meaningful something is to you the more likely you are to achieve it. This was something that was also ingrained in me in my studies as an occupational therapist. Participation in meaningful activities has been proven to lead to better health outcomes. To read the full blog post click here.

Do you suck at sticking to New Year's resolutions? (Part 1) January 04 2015, 1 Comment

I’ve always enjoyed the New Year period. I love taking the time to reflect on the year that has passed, my challenges and achievements and how far I’ve come. Personal development has always been a passion of mine. You’re more likely to see The Power of Now, The Road Less Travelled or Buddhism for Busy People in my hands than Fifty Shades of Grey or The Lord of the Rings (that's not to say I wouldn't enjoy those books). I can’t get enough of self-help books and find them fascinating! I could literally spend hours in the self-help section of book stores! I'm also a Piscean who loves nothing more than to day dream! So for me, the ringing in of a New Year is the perfect opportunity to set new goals, intentions or resolutions if you like. It's also great to pull out the previous year's resolutions to see how you fared. To read the full blog post click here.
